Recently, the book Imam Ali (a) and the World Peace, written by Professor Seyyed Mohammed Khamenei, has been translated into English by Dr. Roya Khoii and published by the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Research Institute.
“People are of two types: they are either your religious brothers and Muslims or of the same species as you.”
The above statement has been shinning on the top of human culture for centuries, and it has been said by no one but Imam Ali (a), the leader of all the Shi’ites of the world. He is a man whom not only the Shi’ites but also the people of Sunna, Christianity, Judaism, and anyone who seeks for justice believe to belong to them. As we can see, the Christian George Jordache has written a thick book on him and chosen the title Imam Ali (a), the Voice of Human Justice for it.
One of the issues that has attracted great attention after the French Revolution, the introduction of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the movements and efforts intended to attain humans’ true value and status is supporting prisoners and protecting their rights. However, this issue had been frequently emphasized by Imam Ali (a) centuries ago. It is noted that he emphasized this at a time when Eastern and Western governments treated their prisoners in the worst way possible.
Imam Ali (a) and the World Peace is a work that tries to reveal the character of Imam Ali (a) from different dimensions when dealing with categories such as wisdom, freedom, justice, war, and peace.
The present book has been written in ten chapters, the titles of some of which are world peace, nightmare of war, Imam Ali (a) and respect for humanity, and Imam Ali (a) and respect for freedom.
This book has been published by the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Research Institute in 81 pages in paper back from.
