Introducing the Journal of

Philosophy and Children

Experts in the field of education and training believe that familiarizing children with philosophical concepts, in addition to its positive oral-aural influences on them, can accelerate their turning into sociable individuals and improve their thinking ability. Accordingly, the purpose of this Journal is to familiarize those who work in the field of education and training and students’ parents with the project of “Philosophy and Children”. This project has been devised in the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Research Institute and put into practice in volunteer schools.

Philosophy and Children is the first specialized journal devoted to the theme of philosophy and children. The Director of this Journal is Professor Ayatullah Seyyed Mohammed Khamenei. The first issue of this Journal was published in winter 2005.
