The House of Philosophy and Wisdom is one of the important departments of the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Institute which was founded in 2004 in order to create a free atmosphere for philosophical discussions far from any political attitudes and directions. The president of the House is Professor Seyyed Mohammed Khamenei, who is the founder of the Institute as well.

 From among the purposes of this House, we can refer to the following:

1. Holding seminars and meetings for prominent philosophy masters for exchange of knowledge and experiences

2. Informing masters about the activities of various philosophical centers (in order to prevent parallel activities in this filed)

3. Utilizing the capabilities of those masters and scholars in order to improve and spread philosophy in society and develop the field of human sciences

4. Expanding coordinated group activities and studies to promote philosophical thoughts

5. Trying to remove the various problems of philosophy masters
