In a part of the Editorial of this
issue of Kheradname-ye Sadra, Ayatullah Professor Seyyed
Mohammed Khamenei, the Director and Editor-in-chief of
the Journal, writes as follows:
Presently, some phenomena and
tools in the field of mass media and virtual space have
turned into dangerous rivals of books, feed the human
mind with their input, which is sometimes morally and
politically misleading, and destroy the ideas, culture,
and ethics of Iranians out of the control of state
authorities. However, another severe threat which slows
the growth of knowledge, culture, education, and
research, which is the focus of this Editorial, is the
apparently small and simple problem of “paper”.
Nevertheless, this problem is so crucial that its high
cost and shortage has resulted in a halt in the
publication of several important books and journals. It
has also led to a decrease in the number of the
published copies, which makes them less accessible to
interested readers.”
