Call for Papers for the 14th Conference on Commemorating Mulla Sadra Entitled “Philosophical Training of Today’s Youth”                 08.03.2010

Following its annual tradition, the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Institute is holding a Conference on Commemorating Mulla Sadra on his birthday. The deadline for sending the papers for those who are interested in participating in this Conference is 19 April 2010.

The need for constitutionalizing demonstrative thought and logical functioning, which leads to man’s happiness, makes it necessary to deal with the strategies, pathology, and musts of philosophical training. Here, philosophy as the science of thought and reasoning plays a clearly determining role.

The youth of each society play the most active role in its progress; however, their emotions make them extremely vulnerable. Therefore, the thinkers and authorities of society must try to focus on developing appropriate educational and training programs for them.

Accordingly, the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Institute has decided to devote the 14th Conference on Commemorating Mulla Sadra to the theme of “Philosophical Training of Today’s Youth”.

All professors, researchers, masters, and philosophy-seekers are invited to send their papers on the following themes to the Secretariat of the Conference:

1.      Why and How of the Union of Philosophy and the Young Generation

2.      The Youth and Critical Thinking: Necessities and Breaches

3.      Philosophical Training of the Youth: Opportunities and the Damages of the Global Village

4.      Applied Designs of the Transcendent Philosophy for Philosophical Training

Other related subjects are also acceptable. For more information visit the website of the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Institute at mullasadra@dpimail.net.
