Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim, Vol. 6 (Chapters as-Sajda and al-Hadid) , Arabic (2011)
One of Mulla Sadra's invaluable works is his interpretation of Divine Word. The sixth volume of this 8-volume collection is devoted to the interpretation of as-Sajda and al-Hadid chapters. His interpretation of the Holy Qur'an is limited to only some of the verses and chapters of this Holy Book and does not include all of them. However, other interpretations of the Qur'an can hardly compete with his work in terms of eloquence and accuracy. The holy chapters of as-Sajda and al-Hadid are two of the chapters that this prominent philosopher has explained and interpreted and, in doing so, he has tried to unveil the secrets of their verses.
It is necessary to note that in Mulla Sadra's view, the most important and trustworthy interpretive method is one that is based on unveiling and intuition and inspired by the light of prophethood and guardianship.
Mulla Sadra usually begins his interpretation of each verse with a brief linguistic and syntactic discussion and then elaborates on the significance of the verse based on the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet(s) and Shi'ite Imams (a). Then he poses the philosophical problems implied in the verses and continues with explaining his own solution to them. He also marks the beginning of his interpretation of each verse with the main title and names the successive stages of his philosophical discussions with secondary titles such as "inspirational unveiling", "explanation and expansion", "merciful wisdom", and "note".
To facilitate further research, a complete collection of indexes pertaining to the hadiths, Persian and Arabic poems, people's names, places, and technical terms has been provided at the end of the book.
The sixth volume of Interpretation of the Holy Qur'an has been published under the supervision of Professor Seyyed Mohammed Khamenei in 451 pages in Arabic by the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Institute. Muhsen Pishwa'i has edited this book, conducted the required research for it, and written an Introduction to it.
