The Qur'an and the Truths about it (along with A Look at Mulla Sadra's Qur'anic Commentary in the Appendix)

The Qur'an is the last heavenly book which was revealed to the last Prophet (s) and came down to us without any changes. It is a bottomless and boundless ocean, and the more researchers scrutinize it, the more realities about it remain for them to discover. Therefore, this book has been devoted to deliberating over this huge ocean of meaning and exploring some of its truths. Moreover, since Mulla Sadra's commentary enjoys a specific depth and some distinctive characteristics, at the end of this book, the writer has delved into this invaluable interpretation of the Qur'an from various angles. This book has been organized in three parts.

Part 1: Qur'anic Studies

This part deals with some problems such as revelation, miracle of the Qur'an, history of the Qur'an, its social function and role, etc.

Part 2: Knowledge of Interpretation

Here, the writer has discussed some topics such as the semantics of interpretation, the role of Shi'ism in the interpretation of the Qur'an, the pre-requisites for the interpretation of the Qur'an, etc.

Part 3: A Glance at Mulla Sadra's Great Commentary

This part is devoted to an introduction and scrutiny of Mulla Sadra's magnificent interpretation and covers some headings such as Mulla Sadra and Qur'anic commentary, the Qur'an in Mulla Sadra's view, Mulla Sadra's method of interpretation, Mulla Sadra's principles of interpretation, Mulla Sadra's sources in interpretation, and the like.

The book The Qur'an and the Truth about it by Professor Seyyed Mohammed Khamenei has been recently published in Persian in 279 pages by the Sadra Islamic Philosophy Institute.
